He's my favorite, too. In my youth I think it was the Tusken Raider figure, or maybe Han Solo because his arm was cocked in such a way that he could casually menace bad guys with his custom blaster pistol. Now I like the Ithorian. I've a plan in mind for a squad of West Wind Ithorians with a lot of conversions. Some will have to have the classic sky blue baby onesie with the Storm Trooper blaster. Maybe I'll get them done this Summer. This is a well done photo. Looks very...real!
Thanks for your comment about the photo! And a squad of West Wind Ithorians would be ace! Especially if they all have the blue onesies!
Next to Hammerhead, I would also have the Tusken or small head Han or perhaps Walrus Man and classic Leia as runners-up to personal much-loved favourites! But Hammerhead was always the one!
He looks a bit shy. This is the only SWAF that I owned back in the 70's (or have owned since), and I remember wheedling round my parents to buy him from the local toyshop..... not sure where he went though.

It's funny when comments double. I'm not sure why, but I know it has happened to me quite a few times. Always good to have you drop in for a couple of visits, Springinsfeld!
I bought my Hammerhead along with Blue Snaggletooth at a flea-market for about 10p back in the day. Both now long gone to a galaxy far far away, with the rest of my SW toys.
Nice weather you're having at the moment. Hope to see some more garden wars as the season progresses. Did you grab that copy of Reaper and its supplement?
Also it's nearly time for the annual disappointment of finding nothing interesting on the local car-boot scene - I'll be keeping my eyes out for those top secret aliens for you.
You had a Blue Snaggletooth!!!?! But wait, of course! Those amazing British Flea-markets/ Carboots sales of you lucky English guys!! Ahhh. One day I must experience one of them! Hopefully maybe even find my much sought-over Yak Head! (For 99p, of course.)
And thanks, but no, I did not get that Reaper Supplement. The shipping cost to Canada was rather too high. One day, though. Thanks again for the tip-off! And great to hear that you are still on top of my Deetails Alien quest! Much appreciated! I must fill the garden with them.
All being well, some more Garden gaming as the summer progresses, Zhu. Although, I am finding it harder to get into regular blogging these days.

ReplyDeleteHi Springinsfeld,
DeleteYes, I thought so too, he does look shy and rather vulnerable. But Hammerhead has always been a sensitive type! And I imagine he likes Prog Rock too!

ReplyDeleteHey, hey, Mr. ALMan,
DeleteFeels like a while my BBB, nice to have you here! And "Cool" is Hammerhead's true Ithorian name! I hear him Scat-singing for some reason...
Happy May the 4th Hammerhead!
