Gadzooks..is that a Micronaut? I used to have some of those, but never all the big chunky sets I wanted. I've not seen any of those since 1980something. Nice the sun is shining there...it's rainy and cold here in South West Blighty.
Yes, Gadzooks!, that is a Micronaut. Loved them as a kid and love them even more now as a bigger kid. But really the figures more than the sets. I feel the vehicles don't hold up as well - I was disappointed when I revisited the battlecruiser I had as a boy. And yes, the sun is shining bright - perfect for a outdoor 54mm game! Wish you and your beautiful ECW 54mm guys were right around the corner!
Yep, it would be good to get a game in without that bloomin big pond in the way. I looked online for the Micronaut catalogue, and realised I had a quite a few of the sets...for a couple of years I was obsessed with them, but I think my folks must have ditched them when they moved house. I rather liked the vehicles (I never had the battlecruiser, although a friend did), but the Exploration Laboratory Tower was brilliant, as was Microtron with his revolving drill! Ahh, Happy days of youth.
Ah, Springinsfeld, you're going to make me reconsider those vehicles! And yes, the Exploration Lab was pretty cool, my brother had that one. The other day I had youtubed toy commericals and stumbled upon a great "learning" commerical for Micronauts! It was brilliant! Well worth checking out if you have not already seen it. Happy days of youth indeed!
Nice to have you visiting again! And thanks, I was excited to use those buildings again - they had been hiding in the shed for too long! And those silly dwarves just got greedy - they went looking for a very big golden egg!
Hey thanks, Zhu!! I just saw your comment now and I'm glad I did 'cause I zipped over to ebay in a of time! But zut alors(!) the shipping to Canada is over 20 pounds!!!?! I really appreciate the heads up, Zhu! Now if you come across a large lot of Britains Deetails Aliens and Karate guys...
